E-Sign Consent Disclosure
Please read this Electronic Records & Signature Disclosure ("Disclosure") carefully and keep a copy for your records.
1. Who Is Asking for Your Consent
You have been sent a document to review and sign electronically by the business that sent it to you (the "Sender"). The Sender is using Julia, an electronic signature and business platform operated by Julia AI Inc. ("Julia AI," "we," or "us"), to deliver the document to you and collect your signature. The Sender, not Julia AI, is the party asking you to sign, and your agreement being signed is with the Sender. Julia AI acts only as the technology facilitator.
2. What You Are Agreeing To
By consenting below, you agree that:
— The Sender may provide you with documents, notices, and disclosures related to your transaction in electronic form (for example, by email, text message link, or within the Julia signing page) instead of on paper; and
— You may sign documents electronically, and your electronic signature will be just as valid and enforceable as a handwritten ink signature.
Scope of your consent: Your consent applies to this transaction only: the specific document or documents you have been sent in this signing session. If the Sender sends you additional documents in the future, you will be asked to consent again.
Consenting is voluntary. If you do not want to sign electronically, do not check the consent box. Instead, contact the Sender to ask about completing your transaction on paper.
3. Your Right to Paper Copies
You have the right to receive any document on paper. To request a paper copy of a document you signed or were sent electronically, contact the Sender directly using the contact information in the document or in the email or message that delivered it. Paper copies are provided at no charge. Requesting a paper copy of a specific document does not by itself withdraw your consent to electronic records.
You can also download or print any document yourself, free of charge, from the signing session or from the completion email you receive, and we encourage you to do so (see Section 8).
4. Your Right to Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw your consent to receive electronic records and to sign electronically at any time:
— Before signing: simply decline to sign, close the signing page, or select the option to decline if one is presented, and contact the Sender to proceed another way. — After consenting (or for future documents): notify the Sender directly that you are withdrawing your consent to electronic records and signatures.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the legal validity of documents you already signed electronically before withdrawal. If you withdraw consent, the consequence is that your transaction may not be able to proceed electronically: the Sender may need to complete it on paper, which may be slower, or in some cases the Sender may be unable to proceed with the transaction. Julia does not charge you any fee for withdrawing consent; ask the Sender whether it imposes any conditions or consequences of its own.
5. Keeping Your Contact Information Current
The Sender needs a valid email address (and, if used for delivery, mobile number) to send you documents electronically. To update your email address, phone number, or other contact information, notify the Sender directly using its contact information. If you signed through a Julia account or portal, you may also be able to update your details there.
6. Hardware and Software Requirements
To receive, view, sign, and keep electronic documents through Julia, you need:
— A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access; — A current version of a modern web browser (such as the latest Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox) with cookies and JavaScript enabled; — A valid, active email address (and, if documents are delivered by text, a mobile phone capable of receiving SMS); — Software capable of viewing PDF files (such as a built-in browser PDF viewer or a free PDF reader); and — The ability to keep copies: either sufficient storage space to download and save PDF files, or access to a printer to print them.
If we materially change these requirements in a way that creates a risk you could no longer access or retain your electronic records, you will be notified of the new requirements and given the opportunity to consent again or to withdraw your consent without any fee from Julia.
7. Demonstrating Your Ability to Access Electronic Records
The document you are about to sign is provided in the same electronic format (PDF, displayed in your browser) as this Disclosure. By checking the box or clicking "I agree to use electronic records and signatures," you confirm that:
— You can access and read this Disclosure and documents in the format used; — You can access your email (or text messages, if used for delivery) at the address or number you provided; — You are able to download or print documents to keep for your records; and — You consent to receive records electronically and to use electronic signatures for the scope described in Section 2.
If you cannot see or read this Disclosure, or cannot open PDF documents, do not proceed. Contact the Sender to arrange a paper process.
8. Keep Copies for Your Records
We recommend that you download or print a copy of every document you sign, along with this Disclosure, and keep them somewhere safe. After signing, you will typically be able to download the completed document from the confirmation screen and from the completion email. Documents may not remain available online indefinitely, so your saved copy is your reliable record.
9. Questions
Questions about the document you were sent, paper copies, or withdrawing consent should go to the Sender. Questions about the Julia signing technology may be sent to Julia AI Inc. at info@onjulia.com.
At the point of signing, you will be asked to affirm: "I agree to use electronic records and signatures."
